Following a significant landslide at Barbadoes Woods in the Wye Valley above Tintern, a major ground stabilisation project has now been completed for the Forestry Commission Wales.
This delicate project involved digging and stabilizing a new basement under an existing building in a busy residential area.
This project involved an old building site that had been demolished and filled over to create a slope of about 15m high, at a 45º angle. A crack had began to appear and it looked as though the entire slope was going to slip.
