Albion Drilling Group is undertaking an important contract at Scottish Power's new wind farm, at Arecleoch in Ayrshire.
Working for main contractor, Farrans (Construction) Ltd, Albion is drilling and blasting borrow pits to remove rock that will enable the construction of access roads to the site where 60 wind turbines are planned.
Starting in May, the £750k contract will last one year and involve typical drill depths of 12m, a total of 37.5km of drilling.

This one year contract, for Lagan Ferrovial JV, was won after successfully undertaking Phase I, Dundalk to Newry, during the previous year. Read more...
